2. Le Potager de Charlotte

Have you ever seen the vibrant colors of the Holi festival in India? It's a Hindu festival marking the arrival of spring, the victory of good over evil, and the joy of togetherness. During Holi, people throw vibrant colored powders (called gulal) at each other, dance, and celebrate with music, food, and drinks. It’s one of the most joyous and visually striking festivals in India!

Picture that, but on your plate:

Le Potager de Charlotte was created by two French brothers. Sons of a hotelier and culinary photographer, David and Adrien Valentin (Valentin is their last name) honed their skills in the family hotel in Nîmes. David later pursued a career in Parisian hospitality and gastronomy. For several years now, the two brothers have been vegan and deeply committed to the principles of veganism.

In October 2015, they fulfilled their dream: to open their own restaurant dedicated to plant-based and gourmet cuisine. They named the restaurant after their mother, Charlotte. The restaurant was such a success, they opened another one in the 17th arrondissement.

Here are both locations:
12 rue Louise-Émilie de la Tour d’Auvergne 75009
21 rue Rennequin 75017

You can check out Le Potager de Charlotte's website as well.

3. Persil

Persil is a pescatarian restaurant, which means they do not serve red meat or poultry, but do serve fish and other seafood. Cheffe Kumpi Lo who's also a singer, designs beautiful plates inspired by her Congolese origin and her love for french cuisine. The result makes you think food is art and her plates should be sent to a cool museum.

The restaurant radiates the cozy sophistication of an elegant home. Cheffe Kumpi Lo and her husband Richard Venturi are incredibly kind and hospitable. We highly recommend visiting for a delightful lunch or dining experience.

4. Bloom

Bloom is the tale of four friends whose vision combines a passion for sushi with a dedication to protecting ocean biodiversity. Under the leadership of Chef Christian Ventura, Bloom has gained fame first in Montreal, attracting a wide clientele, both vegan and traditional.

In 2022, Bloom made its debut in Europe, with its first restaurant in Paris's 17th arrondissement.

According to Chef Christian Ventura, "Sushi is one of the most popular dishes in the world. But we cannot continue to consume it this way, relying exclusively on fish. The oceans are being depleted, and we must save them."

Discover their menu here, it is really well worth a try.

5. Faubourg Daimant

"Save the planet, but make it saucy"! Faubourg Daimant, our final pick, is a trendy Parisian eatery founded by Alice Tuyet.

With a Vietnamese grandmother who was a restaurateur, Alice's artistic adolescence was spent in ballet, followed by a self-taught culinary journey after a young adulthood that checked all the boxes—from HEC to a major corporate career. She developed a growing concern about the overconsumption of industrially farmed meat and felt powerless in the face of ecological crises. These experiences set the stage for a collective venture aimed at redefining hospitality called Daimant Collective.
